How TenderCare Works

Home How it works

How TenderCare works.

From your first call to the first visit, here’s what to expect, and how a nurse registry is different from an agency or hiring on your own.

Straightforward pricing, no enrollment or placement fees.

From first call to first visit.

Most families go from a first conversation to a confirmed schedule in a few simple steps.

01

Tell us what’s happening.

Call (407) 599-1900 or send an inquiry online. We’ll ask what’s getting harder at home, when help is needed and where your loved one lives.

02

Have a free consultation.

We talk through needs, routines, home and personality, at your loved one’s home, by video or by phone. There’s no obligation.

03

Complete enrollment.

We send a client intake packet by email. Once it’s signed and returned, we can start scheduling.

04

We match a caregiver.

A CNA or HHA for hands-on personal care, or a companion for company and help around the house, chosen for fit as well as skill.

05

Visits are confirmed.

Each visit is confirmed once a qualified caregiver accepts it, so you always know exactly what’s booked.

06

Care begins, and adjusts.

Add hours, reduce them or pause care as needs change, within the terms of your service agreement.

What a nurse registry is.

TenderCare is licensed by Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration as a nurse registry, license #3014096. A nurse registry refers qualified, independent caregivers to families.

Independent caregivers

Caregivers referred by TenderCare work as independent contractors, not as TenderCare employees.

Screened and verified

Every caregiver completes a Florida Level 2 background screening, and we verify licenses and certifications before a first referral.

Matched to your needs

We refer CNAs, HHAs and companions, matched to the help needed, your schedule and your loved one’s personality.

Three ways to arrange care.

Families usually weigh the same three options. Here’s how they differ.

Through a nurse registry

  • Caregivers screened and credentials verified
  • Independent caregivers, matched to you
  • Scheduling and billing handled for you
  • Help finding cover when needs change

Through a home care agency

  • Caregivers are agency employees
  • The agency directs and supervises the work
  • Often minimum shift lengths
  • Rates include employer costs

Hiring privately

  • You find and vet the caregiver yourself
  • You handle background checks
  • You arrange backup if they’re sick
  • You manage pay and any tax obligations

Not sure which fits? Call (407) 599-1900 and we’ll talk it through honestly, even if a registry isn’t the right fit.
